Postpartum Care - in your home

You went through the most profound transition of your life.

The first weeks after birth are so tender and exhausting. Your body is recovering, everything is new and different, and there is so much to figure out.

You don’t have to navigate through it alone.

What I offer

I come to you.

I offer practical, hands-on and mental support in your home. Particularly during the first weeks after birth, but also before in your pregnancy and in the first years after giving birth - whenever support is needed.

No agenda. No rush. A steady support — where you come first.

That might look like

  • Being present with you

  • Making sure you're eating and drinking enough, I also prepare fresh nourishing meals

  • Helping you find a rhythm with breastfeeding/bottle feeding

  • Gentle relaxation massage for you

  • Taking the baby so you can sleep for three hours straight, shower or simply rest

  • Light household tasks: doing a load of laundry, tidying the kitchen, making tea

  • Spend time with older siblings

  • Just talking — sometimes that's what's needed most. I'm happy to come and sit with you, listen and be present

Simply being a calm, experienced presence when everything feels new and uncertain

Offerings

The support plans are simply about time — You decide how many hours, and we work out together how to use them.

The Soft Start

DKK 3,700

10 hours

A gentle introduction to having support. Good if you're not sure yet how much help you need, or if you'd like to try it out first. We spread the hours across your first week or two, however suits you best.

Two hands gently holding each other.

The First Week

DKK 7,500

20 hours

Steady support across the first few weeks after birth — roughly a daily visit of two to three hours. Enough time to make a real difference to how you feel and how you recover.

The Full Hold

DKK 11,000

30 hours

The most complete option. Daily presence, plenty of time to rest, bond with your baby, nourishment, and settling in as a family. This is the kind of support that used to come from having “our village” nearby.

Vegetables and herbs boiling in a pot, including carrots, garlic, sage leaves, and various herbs.

Add cooking to any package

DKK 500.00

per visit (excl. ingredients)

I cook with organic ingredients - either brought to your home or made fresh in your kitchen, whichever you prefer. If there is something specific you are craving, a dish from home or a recipe that means something to you, just tell me. Nourishing a recovering body is part of the care.

About me

A woman with glasses holding a young girl in her arms at an outdoor gathering. The woman is gently touching the girl's head. Several people are in the background, seemingly enjoying a sunny day.

My name is Henrike. I became a mother in Copenhagen, far from my own family, and I remember those early weeks clearly. The exhaustion, the tenderness, the growing love, the feeling of navigating something so big and so new.

I trained at the Mütterpflegeschule in Hamburg, Germany, where I completed over 135 hours in postpartum mother care classes. But the training only goes so far in explaining why I do this. The rest comes from lived experience — my own, and the families I've sat with since.

I don't arrive with a fixed idea of what you need. Every mother is different, every home is different, every baby is different. What I offer adapts to you — not the other way around. Your wishes always lead. That is very important to me.

I speak English, German, and Danish, and I work with families from all over the world.
